Estimate calories from a photo

Don't feel like typing? Photograph your plate - the AI makes a quick first draft. Editable, honest about confidence, and free. Never sold as magic truth.

Staying honest

An AI can't weigh a schnitzel to the gram. That's why Satt never sells photo estimates as exact measurements - every value shows a confidence and can be adjusted. For maximum accuracy, combine the photo scan with a barcode or nutrition label.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the photo scan?

Honest answer: photo estimates are typically 15-25% off, more or less depending on the dish. That's why every result is editable and shows a confidence. Use it as a quick first draft, not an exact measurement.

What happens to my photo?

The image is only sent briefly to our service and the AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis, processed there and not stored. Location data (EXIF/GPS) is removed beforehand.

Does the photo scan cost extra?

No. Like everything in Satt, the AI photo scan is free - no subscription, no paywall.

Can I log without a photo?

Of course. You can log just as well via search, barcode scan or nutrition label. The photo scan is just a quick option.
